Recommendation: Annie Spratt photography

My monthly recommendations tend to be music, films, books or YouTube channels. And probably in that order. But in the name of trying not to keep repeating myself, this month is different.

I use a lot of photos from free stock libraries, and ‘Annie Spratt’ is a photographer’s name that comes up again and again in the libraries I use. In fact, I have used her photographs again and again — the last time being last month’s featured track, The Sheep Stealer.

I try to credit the photographers as much as possible (which is requested by these sites, but not a condition of use), but I generally gather all my monthly content together at the last minute, and photography credit is often something that gets missed. And also, I’m a terrible human being.

Anyway, it occurred to me that Annie Spratt’s work (and there is a huge amount of it – seriously, huge) deserves not just a mention but a recommendation. If you’re looking for stock photos for pretty much anything, there’s a good chance that you’ll find something that works in here:

And I imagine if you have bespoke photography project you would like her to work on, you can get in contact through her website:

Current Favourite Thing:

She has a collection of photographs entitled ‘Rude Food’.
