Can the title sequence of a film or television show ever be good enough to justify its own Eulogize This? Well… right now, I make the rules. So yes. Just as you can single out a single track on an album, I think you should be able to single out something that can set the tone of a film or show so profoundly. The creators of the popular podcast, Criminal, surprised everyone when they turned their attention to an investigation of a very different kind. This is Love explores perseverance, obsession, and what happens when we risk betting it all.
I haven’t gigged for a while. To be honest, I’ve been kind of uninspired by gigging. In a way that I find hard to describe.
Not as a performer, actually, but as an audience member. And I think it might be down to the fact that the main time I perform now is in the Bastard English Session. And when that session really works I find it so much more enjoyable than gigging. Maybe that’s why every gig gives me this odd sensation of… ‘shouldn’t there be something more?’
